Sunday mornings are one of my favorite times to slow down and spend a little quiet time with Jesus before church.

This morning, I started with my daily reading from The Meaning of Marriage: A Couple’s Devotional by Timothy and Kathy Keller. I also spent a little time reading ahead in Chapter Four of The Meaning of Marriage, which our church Bible study will be discussing this Wednesday.

Marriage and Friendship

One idea that really stayed with me this morning was the importance of friendship in marriage. Marriage is not only about romance or building a life together. It is also about being true companions, encouraging one another, growing together, and keeping God at the center of it all.

It was such a simple but meaningful reminder to carry with me into Sunday.

After church, we usually gather with our church family for lunch and fellowship. Sundays have become such a sweet rhythm of worship, friendship, good food, and time spent with people we love.

A Little Sunday Reflection

  • Keep God at the center of your marriage.
  • Never stop being friends with your spouse.
  • Be thankful for the people God places in your life.

What is one Sunday tradition that means the most to you? I would love to hear about it in the comments. šŸ¤
